Covid 19 Response
Arcadia Lodge is committed to doing everything we can to make our guests feel safe and comfortable during their stay with us this summer. We encourage all guests to practice social distancing and take any personal precautions needed while they are here. We have put together new safety procedures and protocols for both our staff and guests to review and follow.
- We will do everything we can do minimize touch points across the property; this may include removal of public beach chairs.
- We will be disinfecting the lodge daily and common touch points in the lodge hourly, implementing new safety practices for staff and are considering offering our beloved ice cream walkup window or takeout style.
- We will be working with families to convene and a safe distance from others; such as new firepits/fire ring rentals and sectional seating at the beach.
All staff will receive additional training in regards to COVID-19 safety procedures and practices
Lodge staff and managers have been trained and directed in disinfecting high traffic areas
Disinfectant and other cleaning supplies will be available for use daily
Staff is encouraged to practice social distancing where possible
Protective masks will be available for staff use
Hand sanitizer located in all public spaces
Guests are encouraged to bring their own sanitizer wipes/spray
Door handles, restrooms, common areas, giftshop countertop, etc. be wiped down hourly
Cleaning staff will use disposable gloves
Guests are encouraged to text/call if additional amenities are needed throughout their stay such as toilet paper, bedding, etc. (rather than coming up to the lodge)
Pillow protectors will be changed out between each rental
Of course all sheets will be changed. We will be providing just one light blanket that can be washed between each rental. Additional blankets can be requested or you can bring your own.
All touch points will be cleaned and then sanitized including: countertops and dressers; remotes; cabinetry handles/touch points; bathroom vanities; windows, mirrors and frames; tables and chairs; thermostats; doors and door knobs; bathroom fixtures and hardware; and lights and light switches.
New fogging machine will be used before each cabin rental and it will be used in the lodge daily. This machine sprays a fine mist of disinfectant to insure that all surfaces floor to ceiling are covered.
MAIN LODGE/ICE CREAM
Social distancing of 6ft between guests is encouraged while in the lodge; if that is not possible please wait outside for other shoppers to disperse.
Ice cream will be served as usual – limit 10 customers at one time.
All guest contact items such as pens and credit card machines will be sanitized after each use
Ice cream station and sink will be sanitized at least once per hour; scoops after each group served
Back Kitchen and entire Ice cream area will be fogged at least twice per day with a food-safe mister
WATERCRAFT/GOLF CARTS RENTALS
All rentals will be sprayed with our disinfectant fogger between renters
The beach house which holds the life jackets, paddles, tubes and other items will be fogged every morning. When you pick up an item please hold it for the length of your stay or till the end of the day.
ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE, PUBLIC SPACES
Guests can call ahead for curbside check-in; or send 1 person in to notify of arrival
Optional no contact checkout can be done; we can send you a receipt via QuickBooks
Entry doors/handles will be sanitized once/hour; more if busy
**While we can clean/sanitize and mitigate traffic flow – we still ask our guests to join us in adhering to social distancing guidelines in order to avoid the spread of germs.
- Maintain 6 feet of space between your group and other guests
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Wash hands frequently and use sanitizer available
- If possible please bring masks & wear them in public areas
- If you are sick, please stay home!
Our standard cancellation policy still applies; we keep your deposit unless we are able to re-rent your cabin at the full length and rate of cancelled reservation. This deposit is usually about 20-25% of your stay. We are family-run and seasonal, so we simply cannot absorb returning deposits as any loss of rental is a big hit for a 3-month season. We are working with groups best we can to change dates and cabin size if needed.
Will your beach be open and water toys in? Yes, all inflatables will be in this year. The only change will be that each piece sits individually, with space in between so that groups are discouraged from playing on the same toys. As well, public beach chairs will not be offered this year. Bring your own or layout on a towel/blanket. Paddle Boards/Canoes/Kayaks will be available has normal on a first come first use basis. We have always had these items available for the kids to use without hassle and we would like to continue this tradition. Please use them at your own risk.
Will the water toys be disinfected? The great outdoors will be our most effective detriment to the virus in regard to the inflatable water toys. Given their location and their size, attempting to sanitize them between different groups is not feasible and would not be something we could guarantee. Please use them at your own risk.
